    My Heart Is Burdened

    My heart is so burdened for my non-Christian friends this morning, especially my pagan friends. Yep, I have a lot of those — pagans and/or Wiccans. I love them and am frankly afraid for them. Paganism and Wicca are not any worse than any other false religion but any false religion will get you eternal separation from God! So I’m scared for them as they cheerily wish each other “Happy Winter Solstice.” But Christ alone is the fulfillment of this religion and any other.     A warning to look to God and the peace of God: “‘God said, “Because these people have rejected the quiet waters of Shiloh Brook and tremble before King Rezin and King Pekah, I, the Lord, will bring the emperor of Assyria and all his forces to attack Judah. They will advance like the flood waters of the Euphrates River, overflowing all its banks.'” (Is. 8:6-7) I love that — “the quiet waters of Shiloh Brook.” It’s contrasting with “the flood waters of the Euphrates River, overflowing all its banks.” If the people had trusted and taken in delight in the life-giving waters of Shiloh, they would not be drowning in…

    The Perfect Storm

    “Come!” answered Jesus. So Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water to Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind, he was afraid and started to sink down in the water. “Save me, Lord!” he cried.
