How to Listen to God
First, ask! “[Jesus said] ‘Listen! I stand at the door and knock; if any hear my voice and open the door, I will come into their house and eat with them, and they will eat with me.’” (Rev. 3:20) Ask Jesus Christ to transform your mind, to help you to become the person He created you to be. Take Time. Breathe deeply. “Be still and know that I am God.” Quiet your spirit before God. Relax physically and mentally. Wait receptively. Paul urges believers to put on the whole armor of God in Eph. 6:10-20. v. 10 – Be Strong in the Lord 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. v. 11-12 – Satan is Our Enemy 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
