You and your relationship with Him are more important than what you do. He’s teaching you to hear Him first, not to charge down the first available path. When you learn to listen, His direction is clear–although it’s usually surprising!

When He speaks there, He speaks in the language of dreams and visions–just like He did in the Bible.

The Lord says: Stop at the crossroads and look. Ask for My way, and walk in it.
Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Jer. 6:16)

The Answer is Imaging Prayer

Invite the Holy Spirit to speak directly to you within the foundation of God’s Word. These are the dreams and visions of the Bible.

Imaging prayer is a modern name for Christian contemplative prayer using the sanctified imagination. Contemplative prayer is based on the Biblical “dreams and visions” of Deborah, Elijah, Peter, Paul, and many more. The formal practice dates back to the 4th century Church.

Imaging prayer does NOT replace the core prayers of the Church: thanksgiving and worship, confession, petition, and intercession. It DOES complement our prayers and Bible reading so we can listen to the Lord as well as speak to Him.

The Workshop

“Dreams and Visions: A Workshop in Listening Prayer” is a 4-week, small group, intimate journey for Christian women into imaging (listening) prayer

  • Dates: 4 Thursdays, 90 minute sessions, from July 18-Aug. 30.

What to Expect?

  • A 4-week unforgettable journey into the heart of imaging prayer. Recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit in prayer and in the Word.
  • Each 90-minute session will have a short teaching, individual imaging prayer, shring, and Holy spirit-led interpretation.
  • Sessions will be recorded, available ONLY to the attendees.
  • I’ll help interpret your prayers using spiritual gifts of prophecy, discernment of spirits, wisdom and knowledge. And you’ll learn to accept your own spiritual gifts as God gives you the ability to interpret for each other!

I’m Christine Taylor, D.Min., your spiritual director for Christian women with a purpose. I’m also an author, teacher, storyteller, and performer.

My Doctor of Ministry is in Christian Spiritual Formation and my M.A. in Biblical Studies. I taught my women’s Bible study every week for over 12 years..

35 years ago, I “accidentally” discovered a little book called Adventure Inward, by Episcopalian priest Morton Kelsey.
