Happy New Year
Happy New Year!
Some people love New Year Resolutions and some people decidedly do not.
If you make thoughtful and prayerful resolutions, then obey God as you work to embody them, good!
But if your history is making a resolution then breaking it, each time you make a resolution you’ll have a little more negative history and and add a little more to your mental burden.
BUT. If the resolution–if the CHANGE–is from the Lord, then approach it in a completely different way: God’s way! Ask Him for power, for light.
Seek Him in the Bible and prayer every day. Listen for His voice. Remember that He does not act in YOUR strength, but He acts for you in HIS.
Spiritual, emotional, and physical health is in His hands–if we turn to Him in obedience. (Not perfection–that’s the job of grace.)
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Rom. 12:2)
