Imaging Prayer: The Stand

mountain ridge with happy woman

My imaging prayer “The Stand” was not a daydream. It wasn’t my imagination. It wasn’t my visualization. It was the power of the Holy Spirit to speak truth and wisdom into believers through the sanctified imagination. And He spoke directly into my circumstances.

The Stand

I’ve climbed up a tall mountain. I’m dressed for the desert in robes and heavy sandals, head veil, and face covering. My sleeves are voluminous and long enough to cover my hands. It’s a good thing because there is a strong wind blowing from the east. If I didn’t have my protective clothes on, the stinging sand would hurt.

I stand on the narrow peak of that spire of a mountain and gaze down at the desert below me. I can see a very long way. As I’m looking and waiting to see what the Lord does. I sit down while I’m waiting but quickly get back up again, because I should stand up on holy ground. Expectantly, I gaze down at the desert floor and wait, knowing He is doing a great thing.

When He grants the image, He will also grant the interpretation. I thought and prayed and asked for His wisdom. He told me, “Beloved, watch and wait. The desert will bloom.”

And in a set of challenging circumstances, I believed.

I stood

And I bloomed.

If you’re a Christian woman of faith, you can hear Him too. DM me and let’s talk–and listen.
