Wait–is imaging prayer Biblical?

Absolutely!

Imaging prayer is a modern name for Christian contemplative prayer using the sanctified imagination. Contemplative prayer dates back to the 4th century church.

Imaging prayer does NOT replace the core prayers of the Church: thanksgiving and worship, confession, petition, and intercession. It DOES complement our prayers and Bible reading so we can listen to the Lord as well as speak with Him.

What You Get with “Lord, Light My Path”

A 5-week, intimate journey into the heart of Christian imaging, listening, prayer. You’ll learn to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit in prayer and in the Word.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t only speak to you, although that would be enough for us. He also strengthens us in His will and way.

A maximum of 6 students and 90-minute sessions leave time for teaching, prayer, and Holy spirit-led interpretation for each student, each week.

Sessions will be recorded, but are available ONLY to the attendees.

I’ll help interpret your prayers using spiritual gifts of prophecy, discernment of spirits, wisdom, and knowledge. And it’s not just me: you’ll learn to accept spiritual gifts as God gives them, and interpret for each other!

About Chris

I’m Chris Taylor, D.Min., your faith coach for the adventurous Christian woman.

My Doctor of Ministry is in Christian Spiritual Formation. I also have my M.A. in Biblical Studies. I taught the Bible every week for 12 years to women in my church and am an author, speaker, storyteller, and actress.

35 years ago, I “accidentally” discovered a little book called Adventure Inward, by Episcopalian priest Morton Kelsey. The Lord took over from there, and I learned how to listen to Him in the Bible, prayer, and whenever and however He decided to talk to me! Now I am humbled and honored to teach this prayer to other Christian women.
