Imaging Prayer

The Sea of Galilee

An example of a silent and still imaging prayer; related to my business.I spoke with a new friend last Monday and led her in an imaging prayer. When I wanted her to get her starting point, I saw the Sea of Galilee. I suggested that but she already had her starting image, and she suggested that this image was mine! That sounded right, so I remembered it.

This morning I woke up early. Still in bed, I pictured what I thought was the Sea–I don’t actually know what the Sea of Galilee looks like, LOL!

In my mind, it looked like standing on a sandy/rocky shore looking out at the ocean. Limitless. Nothing happened, no narrative or movement. Then I realized that the image WAS active, because I was looking out to the Sea. I was silent and still, but my attitude was watchful and confident. I was waiting for Someone. I knew Jesus was the Lord of the sea. I couldn’t wade into the sea myself, but He was coming to get me.

This was a picture of my business: I might not know the next step, but He does. Just trust, act on what I know to do, and wait for His boat.

To my surprise, I found a picture of the Sea of Galilee looking just like my image (minus the river). God is so good. I know He’s coming. Waiting is not a problem, because He’ll be there exactly when He is supposed to be.
